CLASS RULES:
CONSEQUENCES:
First Offense: Verbal Warning
Second Offense: Name written in Disciplinary Log & notice sent home (must be signed by parent and returned)
Third Offense: Lunch detention, time out or after school detention and parent contact (either by phone, email, or notice that must be signed and returned), and alert Principal’s Office of the incident in writing.
Fourth Offense: All of the above and an office referral
SEVERE: REMOVAL FROM CLASS
* If needed, students may be removed from the class setting and sit in the back office in our classroom*
Homework Policy
Science homework will depend on how hard you work in class and how wisely you choose to use your time. Science homework will rarely be assigned, with the exceptions of unfinished class work, studying for tests and special projects.
Assignments
Assignments need to be turned in on time in order to avoid a late penalty. Assignments turned beyond one week late are subject to a half credit deduction. Exceptions will be made for absences.
Required Materials
To ensure success, all students must be prepared and ready to work each day by having the following items:
1. Sharpened pencils with erasers
2. Science folder
3. Science notebook (a one subject spiral notebook)
4. Science papers (unfinished assignments / notes / handouts)
Grading Scale
Honor Roll is earned by maintaining a B or better in all classes and achieving a satisfactory mark in citizenship in all classes.
A= 100%-90%
B= 89%- 80%
C= 79% - 70%
D= 69% - 60%
F= 59% and below
Citizenship grades are based on character traits, effort, attitude, work ethics, social behaviors, and attendance.
S= Satisfactory
N= Needs improvement
U= Unsatisfactory

- Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself
- Respect others and property and do not interfere with the rights of others to work and learn in a positive environment
